The recovery machine is the heart of any refrigerant recovery setup, but perhaps just as important as the machine is the setup on
both ends ; input (system) and output (recovery tank).
Restrictions
One of the keys to truly fast recovery is removing restrictions and achieving
full flow throughout the setup. Restrictions include valve cores & core depressors, 1/4" hoses, quick disconnect (low-loss) fittings, partially opened valves on the recovery cylinder, and even the liquid port on the cylinder itself. Read more here.

full liquid recovery . After all, with an unrestricted setup you’re almost guaranteed to recover at least some amount of liquid refrigerant from the system.
